Vote for the Scenic to play BAMBOOZLE!

It will only take you a minute, so you should head on over to SHOWPOPR sign up, and vote for the Scenic to play this year's Bamboozle in New Jersey. Make sure you 'pop' them, not 'drop' them! If you vote them as your number one in your top five picks, they will get an extra vote. It's quick and easy (and the voting!), so please take a moment out of your day to do that!

Motion City Soundtrack

Motion City Soundtrack at Lupo's in Providence, RI. One of my favorite bands of all time. I had way too much fun shooting these guys.  More here!

You're gonna need a body bag.

Procrastination at its finest.

Now, I'm all for reading and English and writing, don't get me wrong, but my least favorite part about being enrolled in these courses is having to worry about what the professor is going to put on the test. Granted, there are worse books to be reading than On The Road by Jack Kerouac. On top of having to worry about what I can remember that might be of some kind of importance by time I finish reading this book (which, I was "supposed" to already be done with like, a week ago...), I have to write a paper talking about how, if I was a publisher when this was written, why would I publish it and why would I not? Now, I see what my professor is doing, but I still reserve the right as a student to bitch and moan about it until I get it done.

As you can see, I have failed miserably at posting new (old) photos. Hopefully within the next week. My life has been crazy for a spring break where I didn't even make it out of the state. Here is the abridged version: someone backed into my car and I gave myself a concussion (not a result of someone hitting my car). I am fine and my car is fine, but I just feel like this break was filled with (not always welcomed) chaos.

I can't wait until I am able to start reading books on my extensive summer reading list and my life is not consumed by both versions of On The Road (not that there's anything wrong with that, but it gets a little tiresome... yawn, Mr. Kerouac). I just started Wuthering Heights, so I hope I can buzz through the rest of this book so I can spend some quality time with Catherine and Heathcliff.

"Who Are You Now?" Not a Letdown

One of my personal most anticipated albums of 2009, This Providence's Who Are You Now? is now officially gracing my ears with its presence (listen here!) and I couldn't possibly be more excited. I recently saw these guys open for Ludo in Philadelphia at the Trocadero, and I was blown away - they are such a far cry from the band that they were in 2005, in the most positive ways. They played the longest set I had seen them play in over a year, maybe two years, and I was floored at how incredible they had become (or, maybe I had just forgotten how incredible they always were since it had been a while). For me, there is nothing better than a band you can get excited about; nothing better than a band whose records you anticipate and know you will love immediately because you know that whichever direction they choose to go in, it will fit them perfectly. Who Are You Now? is in stores March 17, and I know I will be purchasing a copy as soon as I can make it to a record store.

And the... thing.

Stoked to be spending the next two days seeing this tour!

I've been spending my day working on a writer's notebook I was supposed to be working on all semester. It's due Friday, and I can't even claim for it to be half done, especially since the snow this weekend kept me in Philly longer than I was planning (which is never ever a bad thing, however my homework wasn't too happy). Oops!

Speaking of Pennsylvania, Ashley Cookies and I went to West Chester for Dan's last show with the Scenic, which was very sad. But, we did get to party at Bam Margera's bar, which was rad as hell. Fortunately (or unfortunately), it started snowing so we decided to head back to Philly. I won't go into detail, but I will say it was a hysterical time thanks to Ashley Cookies and a sippy cup! As always, I got my Wawa sandwich and came back from Philly with glitter stuck to my coat - typical weekend at my home away from home.

Hopefully I will get to post some new pictures this weekend, but for now I suppose I'll go back to babbling for class. At least I have a cute little red notebook to write in.
